Daren Goldin, a Miami native received his BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from the University of South Florida. He completed his MS in Civil Engineering in Construction Engineering and Project Management from the University of Texas, Austin. Daren worked in the construction industry since 2009 as a project estimator, superintendent and project manager in Texas, Arkansas, Florida and North Carolina. During this time he has gained experience constructing schools, college buildings, homes, an auditorium, a famous Miami hotel restoration, office space, and telecommunication sites. In 2013 Daren gained valuable experience working as an assistant project manager constructing a 20 Mega-Watt (57,000 solar panel), single axis tracker solar power plant in Conover, North Carolina. After completing this project, Daren decided to use his love of solar energy to serve the South Florida community with solar distributed generation, constructing roof top solar for residential and commercial applications. In early 2014 Goldin Solar, LLC was incorporated. Since then, Goldin Solar has constructed residential solar and prominent commercial projects such as the Miami Children’s Museum and Marriot’s Residence Inn in Coconut Grove. The guiding principle in the development of Goldin Solar is to providing the best value in solar to the South Florida community, providing high quality engineering and construction, utilizing the best materials on the market.

Joe has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, with specialization in power electronics and semi-conductor manufacturing. Joe is a product expert, having designed PV systems for NASA and the US Navy, and specializes in selecting the most effective technologies for Goldin Solar Customers, ensuring that they get the best possible solution. His experience also includes educating, and consulting for utility and government leaders throughout the Caribbean, brokering equipment supply for over $10M worth of Solar PV projects in the Caribbean. His vast knowledge of the equipment supply market ensures that Goldin Solar customers don’t pay a penny more than they should for the materials used in their projects. Joe is a native of Vero Beach, and is glad to return to the area, to bring affordable green energy to a city burdened by higher than average electricity costs.
Luis Garcia has been working in the construction industry since 2009. He began his career in the construction industry in Louisiana working in the petroleum industry working on offshore rigs and onshore operations. During this time he has gained valuable experience in welding, pipe-fitting, iron work, material management and leading a crew. In 2014, Luis decided to make a change to have a positive impact on the environment in his work and decided to transition to the solar energy industry. After enrolling in a comprehensive solar installation course, Luis joined the Goldin Solar Team.
Luis currently holds a certificate of completion of OSHA 30 hour training course (Occupational Safety Hazard Association for the Construction Industry). Luis is experienced in management and installation of a large variety of residential and commercial PV system types including: central string-line inverter, DC power optimized and micro-inverter systems. Luis’ leadership and enthusiasm about the growing solar industry are a valuable contribution to the Goldin Solar team and the South Florida solar industry.
