California Takes Big Step Towards 100% Clean Energy

California’s Plan for a Sustainable Future

Earlier last month California took a big step towards a sustainable future. Senate Bill 100 proposes a new target for California’s energy future. With this bill, California aims to ensure 60 percent of their electricity comes from clean and renewable sources of energy by 2030 and 100 percent by 2045. Senate Bill 100 has already been approved by the California Assembly Utilities and Energy Committee.

California is setting the ground work for a sustainable future.

This is a very interesting bill proposed by California. Our federal government has pulled out of many climate policies, including the Paris Agreement. It is good to see that although our federal government isn’t doing much about climate change, state governments have taken the initiative. Do you think Florida can ever enact a bill like this Bill 100?
