Goldin Solar Thanksgiving Reflections

This has been such an exciting year, and we have so much to be grateful for. Today, on Thanksgiving, Goldin Solar takes a pause to look back and thank everyone that has been involved in our incredible growth and project delivery. Over the last year we have come to formulate our mission as a business and learn our place in the embracing community of enthusiastic environmental businesses in South Florida.

This year we are thankful to Montessori Elementary School of Village of Palmetto Bay for allowing us to be part of their greening efforts. The PV system that we have had the pleasure of building there, has helped Montessori accumulate LEED points towards USGBC certification.

We give thanks to Bianca Polini, representing the student environmental organization GLADES at FIU for calling on Goldin Solar to present to FIU students about our work and the importance of solar energy. Through this presentation we have made valuable connections which have led to numerous new solar installations. Helping get the message of solar across is easily as important as actual solar installations.

See video from that presentation here:
One of the exciting connections that came from the FIU presentation is meeting a MS Engineering student that hired us to build a large residential system for their sister’s beautiful contemporary home in Winter Park, Florida.

Goldin Solar extends its thanks to the great leadership of the City of South Miami Mayor Philip Stoddard and City of South Miami commissioners in their producing the South Miami Solar Panel Installation Program, for which Goldin Solar was selected as South Miami’s preferred solar contractor. Through this program we have been able to offer incredibly affordable systems to South Miami residents.

We give a special thanks to the efforts of Floridians for Solar Choice for helping open up the solar market in Florida despite some tough resistance. Veronica Bustabad, Goldin Solar’s own has been instrumental in collecting signatures for the ballot to help move this initiative forward. If you haven’t already done so, please sign the petition for Floridians for Solar Choice.
To conclude; we thank everyone for their involvement in our company and the growth of this exciting industry in Florida. We wish you a happy and clean energy Thanksgiving!!
