Beaches Energy Services is a municipal electric utility operated by the City of Jacksonville Beach that serves the three Duval County beach cities — Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, and Atlantic Beach — plus a portion of Ponte Vedra Beach in northern St. Johns County. Beaches Energy is administratively independent of JEA (which serves the rest of Duval and the City of Jacksonville).

Beaches Energy is NOT JEA. JEA serves City of Jacksonville and most of Duval. Beaches Energy is the muni for the three beach cities. This is a common Duval County customer confusion point.

If you’re a Beaches Energy customer, your net metering tariff is set by the Jacksonville Beach city council / Beaches Energy board, not the FL Public Service Commission.
