Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Joe Cataldo, co–founder and CEO, graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power electronics and semi-conductor manufacturing. Joe is a product expert, who developed a vast knowledge of solar equipment and supply chain economics overseeing nearly $100M of Solar and Energy Storage System Installations with Goldin Solar, as well as brokering over $10M for solar projects in the Caribbean. His experience also includes educating and consulting for utility and government projects.
Chief Financial Officer
Jim holds a degree in Economics from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. With 10 years of experience in the finance industry, Jim has served as a Vice President at PNC Wealth Management and has worked as an entrepreneur, real estate developer, venture capitalist, and private equity/debt investor. His volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Finance Committee for Meadville Medical Center, and as a youth hockey coach for 20 years. As a partner at Goldin Solar, Jim focuses on finance and development.
Co-Founder & Director of Sales and Development (Dade County)
Daren Goldin, co-founder and Director of Sales and Development for Dade County, is a Miami native who earned his MS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Engineering & Project Management from the University of Texas in Austin. While working as an assistant project manager for a 57,000-panel solar farm installation in North Carolina, Daren discovered the vast potential of solar energy for homeowners, businesses, the economy, and the environment. In 2014, he founded Goldin Solar with Joe Cataldo to help bring sustainable energy solutions to Florida.
Chief Operating Officer
Melissa Bolton, Chief Operating Officer, holds a BS in Business Administration from Ohio University. With over 10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, Melissa specializes in general construction, roofing, and PV solar systems. Her expertise spans project coordination, labor management, and logistics, ensuring every project runs smoothly. With her extensive experience, Melissa continues to thrive in the fast-moving, innovative solar industry, enjoying the dynamic nature of the field.
