Goldin Solar is a Tesla Certified Installer for Powerwall 3 in Florida. We design and install battery backup for homes and businesses, with or without solar, and we have completed 3,000+ Florida installations since 2014. A Powerwall 3 stores 13.5 kWh and powers your home when the grid goes down. One unit usually covers essentials like the refrigerator, lights, internet and fans. Two or more can usually run central air as well. We size every system from your actual circuits and your utility bills, and the design is free. Call (855) 765-2730.

Whole-home or essentials backup?

Adding a battery to the solar you already have

Many of our battery jobs are added to existing solar, including systems we did not install. We can pair a Powerwall 3 with existing SolarEdge, Enphase and string-inverter systems. Depending on your equipment, the battery may connect on the AC side, or the existing panels may be re-wired into the Powerwall 3’s built-in inverter. We check your existing inverter, main panel and utility agreement before we quote.

Other batteries we install

Tesla is our most common battery, but it is not the only answer. We also install Enphase IQ Battery 5P, FranklinWH, and Sol-Ark hybrid inverters with lithium batteries (a good fit for larger-load homes).

What does a Powerwall 3 cost in Florida?

In our recent proposals, one Powerwall 3 added to a new solar system was priced at about $13,200–$14,100 (a small sample of 4–5 proposals). Adding storage cost about $8,000–$9,000 per added Expansion unit (estimated from 3 proposals). A stand-alone Powerwall 3 (no new solar) is quoted after we check your electrical panel. Your price depends on your main electrical panel, how far the battery sits from it, and whether a gateway or panel upgrade is needed. Full breakdown and method: How much does solar cost in Florida?

Frequently asked questions

Is Goldin Solar a Tesla Certified Installer? Yes. Goldin Solar is a Tesla Certified Installer for solar and Powerwall in Florida.

How long will a Powerwall 3 run my house in an outage? It depends on what is running. A 13.5 kWh battery powering about 1 kW of essentials lasts roughly half a day before any solar recharge. Central AC uses much more. We model your runtime from your circuits during design.

Can I get a Powerwall without solar? Yes. A stand-alone Powerwall charges from the grid and provides backup. With solar, it can also recharge during a long outage.

Can you add a Powerwall to my existing solar? Usually yes, including SolarEdge and Enphase systems. We check your equipment first.

Is there a federal tax credit for home batteries? Not for systems installed now. The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (Section 25D) does not apply to expenditures made after December 31, 2025, which the law ties to when installation is completed. Florida exempts solar energy systems, including battery storage installed as part of a solar system, from state sales tax (F.S. 212.08(7)(hh)).

Does my utility offer a battery rebate? A few city-owned utilities do. OUC (Orlando) offers one, and taking it can change how your solar exports are credited, so we model both options. JEA’s battery rebate has ended.
