Fridays with Daren
Fridays with Daren is a weekly live show hosted by Goldin Solar CEO Daren Goldin and marketing director Dane Myers. In the show, which streams every Friday at 1 PM eastern, Daren and Daren are generally joined by guests who share their expertise in the environment in Florida. In our third episode, Daren and Dane are joined by Gray Read and Philip Stoddard for Climate X 10: A Walk Through Time.
Climate X 10 is a visual overview of the current global climate situation from the perspective of time. It walks back by in time by powers of 10: 1 year ago, 10 years ago, 100 years ago, and so on to the formation of the planet, showing how the climate is changing at each timescale. Then it moves forward in time using established projection models to imagine how various scenarios of human-induced climate change will affect the lives of people, animals, and the ecosystems that support them.
Each time scale reveals a different mechanism or aspect of our current situation, often informed by a different field of science. All are necessary to get a fix on the choices we face now.
