Daren Goldin
CEO / Cofounder
Daren Goldin, co-founder and CEO of Goldin Solar, is a Miami native who completed his MS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering & Project Management from the University of Texas in Austin. While working as assistant project manager for a 57,000-panel solar farm installation in North Carolina, Daren saw the vast opportunities that solar offers homeowners, businesses, the economy, and the environment. Daren founded Goldin Solar in 2014. Daren’s YouTube show ‘The Green Stuff’, explores the intersection of modern life and sustainability.
Joseph Cataldo
COO / Cofounder
Joe Cataldo, cofounder and COO graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in Electrical Engineering with specialization in power electronics and semi-conductor manufacturing.
Joe is a product expert, who developed a vast knowledge of solar equipment and supply chain economics by designing PV systems for NASA and the US Navy, as well as brokering over $10M for solar projects in the Caribbean. His experience also includes educating, and consulting for utility and government projects.
Melissa Bolton
Director of Operations
Melissa Bolton, Director of Construction Management graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Business Administration.
Melissa has over 10 years of experience overseeing multiple phases of residential and commercial construction, specializing in general construction, roofing and PV solar. Her experience includes project coordination, labor, and logistics management. She has been with Goldin for 3 years and continues to enjoy the innovative and ever-evolving nature of the fast-moving solar industry.
Angela Bennett
Human Resources and Accounting
Angela Bennett is an accounting and administrative professional with over 30 years’ experience in construction, aerospace, and the music industry. Originally from Southern California she later moved to Oregon where she studied and expanded her love of living a holistic and sustainable lifestyle. Calling Florida home, and joining the Goldin Solar team in 2017 allowed her to work in a field with like-minded individuals making a positive impact on our planet, one panel at a time.
Jim McCarney
Partner
James A. McCarney, M.B.A.
Jim graduated with an Economics degree from Villanova University and earned his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been an entrepreneur, real estate developer, venture capitalist, and private equity/debt investor. With 10 years of experience in the finance industry, Jim was a Vice President at PNC Wealth Management.
Jim volunteered on the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Finance Committee for Meadville Medical Center, and as a youth hockey coach for 20 years.
As a partner at Goldin Solar, Jim’s efforts are focused in the areas of finance and development.
